August 2014 Favourites!

Friday, September 05, 2014

Well, it's September and that means it is time for my August favourites! Since starting these in May I have always filmed my favourites as a video on Youtube, but seeing as I'm moving all non-music related stuff from over there, here it is in written form. Let me know if you prefer this as a video or a blog post!

Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Polish - I have become absolutely obsessed over this range of nail polishes! Now I love the normal Barry M range but these Gelly ones are something completely diiferent! They last so much longer, don't chip easily, are really shiny and come in lots of lovely colours! I currently have 3 which are the ones in the picture - Rose Hip, Blue Grape and Grapefruit. My Mum also has a few so I've working my way through those too. I would say these have been lasting nearly a week on my nails whereas normal nail polish only lasts about 3 to 4 days.

Rimmel Blush in 120 Pink Rose - I have been looking around for a new everyday blush as my George one was getting to the end of its days, and I loved that colour so wanted to find something similar but not so cheap. This one is more of a nude pink, but I actually like this more than my last one! I don't like heavy pink blushes as I feel like I'm one of those porcelain dolls (do you know which ones I mean?) and I think this one suits my skin tone just right. It is about £4.99 I think in most places but I went to an independent beauty shop just down the road from me and it was only £2.99! Bargain!

Pocket Planes - I was obsessed with this game when it first came out a few years ago and then deleted it as it was taking up too much room on my phone (that's how far I was!) Anyway, I re-downloaded it this month and one again I am hooked on sending my little planes all across the world. It's free too!

'Heart Attack' by Enrique Iglesias - My last favourite of this month is of course a song, and it's by Enrique! I first heard this I believe whilst in H&M and I remember thinking, "I really like this, I'll have to try and find it when I get home". I would never have thought it was Enrique Iglesias and I was really surprised when I found out that it was, it just didn't cross my mind that this song would be one for him to do. Anyway, it's now in my everyday Spotify playlist so I can listen to it when I write up my lesson plans!
