30 Things About Me Tag: Day 4
Monday, September 15, 2014As per I am not keeping up to schedule with these posts! I'll try and do a few a week so I can (sort of) keep on track with them, even if they are meant to be posted everyday! Work life is getting a bit busy at the moment so it's sometimes hard to post all the time!
Back to topic though - I've been looking forward to this post! There are so many things that I wish I could tell my past self - I used to have a lot of anxiety issues because I was bullied at school, and going to uni stopped those problems and now I don't particularly care what people think of me! (I'm also a tad more outspoken!)

Yes, this is me at 16, on my last day of school. |
4. List 10 things you would tell your 16 year-old self, if you could.
1. Don't be so down, things will pick up.
2. Those people who are your 'friends'? They will still be leaving you out of everything and being tosspots at the ages of 23/24. So forget them, I have now and only have a handful of them on Facebook because they added me, there are better people out there.
3. Be confrontational! Don't be afraid to let rip at someone just because you think you will end up with no one in the world! You haven't met the people who WILL be your lifelong buddies yet.
4. If people throw paper balls at you in class, throw it back :) (and be confrontational)
5. Don't be such a goody-goody girl! For once surprise everyone and live a little.
6. DON'T go to the college you are meaning to go to. You only went there because you didn't want to be in a place where you knew absolutely no one. The college will treat you like rubbish and you are much better than that!
7. I hate to say it, but your figure is going to change (so, a bit of a pre-warning - don't order a large stuffed crust pizza every week at uni for the first year)
8. You will learn to appreciate what your parents do for you. Yes, being a typical teenager you believe your parents are out to destroy everything good in your life but they are just looking out for you, want the very best for you and love you. Moving away will make you realise that.
9. You haven't got depression...well, maybe a little but I have realised now that you actually just have very bad anxiety. It will get better, you will find people who will treat you with the respect you deserve and not put you down day-in-day-out. You will learn not to care anymore about what other people think of you - if they have a problem with you it is theirs, not yours (and for the record, you are not boring)
10. And finally, don't even think about bleaching your hair! You will only kill it!
