9 months since my last post....I'm sorry! Life always gets in the way, but I thought I would post a little update with how I have been getting on with my Grade 5 Piano!

If I get my finger out, there is a chance I will take the exam in Spring 2018 - not the most ideal time with my wedding being in April! However Summer 2018 would be even worse as I wouldn't have any time to practice in between the wedding/honeymoon and exam.

So, what's happened so far?

• A PIECE - started the right hand, I'm just trying to build up the muscle memory as it's nearly all quavers and the piece has to go fairly fast!
• B PIECE - all but the last line is done. I've spent the last 6 months struggling on 1 BAR AND IT'S SO ANNOYING but I will persevere!!!
• C PIECE - I've only chosen this piece, not really started looking at it properly
• SCALES & ARPEGGIOS - I'm about halfway through these, I'm not looking forward to the arpeggios as I always struggle with these hands together due to being disadvantaged with small hands
• SIGHT READING - I do this every day with teach piano so I'm not too worried about this
• AURAL - We've not started this yet, we will look at this nearer the time of the exam
