Grade 5 Piano Update
Thursday, September 07, 2017
9 months since my last post....I'm sorry! Life always gets in the way, but I thought I would post a little update with how I have been getting on with my Grade 5 Piano!
If I get my finger out, there is a chance I will take the exam in Spring 2018 - not the most ideal time with my wedding being in April! However Summer 2018 would be even worse as I wouldn't have any time to practice in between the wedding/honeymoon and exam.
So, what's happened so far?

So, what's happened so far?
- A PIECE - started the right hand, I'm just trying to build up the muscle memory as it's nearly all quavers and the piece has to go fairly fast!
- B PIECE - all but the last line is done. I've spent the last 6 months struggling on 1 BAR AND IT'S SO ANNOYING but I will persevere!!!
- C PIECE - I've only chosen this piece, not really started looking at it properly
- SCALES & ARPEGGIOS - I'm about halfway through these, I'm not looking forward to the arpeggios as I always struggle with these hands together due to being disadvantaged with small hands
- SIGHT READING - I do this every day with teach piano so I'm not too worried about this
- AURAL - We've not started this yet, we will look at this nearer the time of the exam
I'll try to update you all on this every few months, who knows it might make me practice more! lol
